Vidya Vikas Mandal’s Ramacrisna Madeva Salgaocar Higher Secondary School has been a name synonymous with quality education in Commerce. In the year 1975, the Higher Secondary Section was separated out from Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics, when the education system assumed the present 10+2+3 format. In 1986, the Higher Secondary Section took on a name and distinct identity of its own.
When the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education introduced vocationalisation of education at the +2 stage, Ramacrisna Madeva Salgaocar Higher Secondary School was quick to see its benefits and launched three popular and practical vocational courses, viz. Computer Software Techniques, Accountancy and Auditing and Office Secretaryship& Stenography.
