A founder Member of VidyaVikas Mandal. It was his untiring efforts, which made Damodar College a reality.
A leading Chartered Accountant and Financial Consultant in South Goa, he has been a Director of Maharashtra State Financial Corporation. He was also a Member of Zonal Railway Users Consultative Committee of South Central Railways. He was Chairman of Goa Branch of I.C.A.I. He has been the Hon. Secretary of Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is currently a member of the Managing Committee. He was also a Director of Goa Housing Board for two terms.
Apart from being a keen sportsman, he takes active interest in social service and is an active member of Lions Club of Margao. He has served in various capacities at Club level and at District level. He was elected to the post of District Governor of Dist. 324-D2 once in the year 2000-01 and again in 2006-07. He was also Treasurer of multiple district, 324. He has received Lion’s International President’s Medals and other coveted awards. He is widely traveled and has represented Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ICAI, Lions International, etc. in many countries.
A self-made man, he is deeply involved in social and educational activities. He took a leading role along with other friends in promoting and running Educational Society ‘Vidya Vikas Mandal’ in 1971. Today this Society is running 5 Institutions in Commerce, Law, Management, from KG to PG courses. Presently he is President of the Society and devoting his valuable time and energy in empowering the Institution for the last 40 years.
