A leading Chartered Accountant from South Goa, practicing for more than 35 years. C.A. Gaunekar has the unique distinction of being the first lady Chartered Accountant of Goa and only the fourth lady Chartered Accountant of India.
She was the First Chairperson of Goa Branch of Western India Regional Council of Institute of Chartered Accountants. She has been a member of the Managing Committee of Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
A Founder Member of Vidya Vikas Mandal, Mrs. Gaunekar is the wife of the founder President, Late Adv. H. M. N. Gaunekar. She holds the record of being the Treasurer of the Mandal right from its inception. Education being one of her passions, she is the Chairperson of Vidya Vikas Academy, the Vidya Vikas Mandal’s CBSE school.
She has travelled widely and attended Conferences as a Member of the Official Trade Delegation of the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She has also attended many International Conferences. Her reputation has earned her a name in the Encyclopedia of Women in India, and also in the Who’s Who Yearbook.She is recipient of the International School Award 2013-14 from British Council and the Swayamsiddha Puraskar 2010 of Gomantak Vidya Niketan.
