
IMTR conducts Stress Management Training for IFS Officers
The VVM’s HMN Gaunekar Institute of management Training & Research (IMTR) is conducting a week long residential training programme on Stress Management for senior IFS Officers, from the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change, from all over the country at the International Centre.
The President of VVM Shri G.Daivajna lit the traditional lamp to commence the programme in the presence of the Director IMTR and pilot trainer of the programme Atul Shah.
Mr. Daivajna in his address emphasised on the need to have a simpler life and be consciously aware of all the areas that are stressful. The Director IMTR Atul Shah welcomed the delegates and presented an overview of the programme.
The delegates include senior Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCFs) ,APCCFs, Directors of related organisations and other senior IFS Officers. The delegates have arrived from 14 states/Union territories including J & K, West Bengal, Maharashtra, MP, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Gujerat, Karnataka, Orissa, Punjab, Uttaranchal, Kerala, etc.
The one week programme adopts a holistic view of Stress management and includes sessions on strategic work-life balance, the changing science of stress, the enveloping time pressures, Pareto and stress, demystifying the mind-body-soul philosophy, propelling interpersonal relationships, etc. The programme adopts a practical design with sessions including yoga for the working man, mudras for stress free life, Tai-chi being included. The programme is being conducted by a team of 7 faculty members.

Library Day Celebration
The four institutions of Vidya Vikas Mandal namely Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics, G.R. Kare College of Law, R.M.S. Higher Secondary School and Vidya Vikas Academy jointly celebrated Library Day on 15th December 2014. Dr.Gopakumar Librarian of Goa University was the Chief Guest for the occasion. The President of Vidya Vikas Mandal Shri. Ganesh Daivajnya, First Vice- President Shri Nitin Kunkolienker, Chief Librarian of Vidya Vikas Mandal Ms. Manasi D. Rege, Board members of Vidya Vikas Mandal and all Principals of Vidya Vikas Mandal’s institution were present for the function.
The major highlight was the launching of Library App. for each institution which was developed and designed by Mr. Rupesh Shirodkar, System Administrator of Vidya Vikas Mandal. The President inaugurated the renovated and technology enabled reading room with facilities like Wi-fi enabled VU to use e-resources, soft music in the background with enriched ambience. The Chief Guest in his speech lauded the initiative taken by Vidya Vikas Mandal and congratulated it for launching the Library App which is the first of its kind in India. He also stressed that all the libraries need to be technology enabled.
The event was also marked the culmination of the week long activities like Story Telling, Quiz, Essay, Poster and Photography. Prizes were distributed of the events conducted and the vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Archana Pednekar, Librarian of Vidya Vikas Academy.

Our students have won this competition amongst 5 other H.S.Schools and 6 other undergraduate degree colleges.
